Right now we have a unique chance to rise up and hit back against Zuckerberg and Musk. Because italian filmmaker @_elena and her friends have made an OUTSTANDING short film, which explains why people should quit the fascist social networks and come join us in the fediverse.
Hit the fascists where it hurts — make this go viral by watching it and liking it on YouTube, then hit the share button and share it everywhere!
Le sigh. You are also falling into the trap of "negativity sells"? Ignore those voices and just add that it was originally distributed on PeerTube and we, the #Fediverse, focus on the message and not the tool. Elena knows about all of this. She published first on PeerTube, added Vimeo as alternative and now added YouTube too. And she is right. Audience beats fundamentalism. And PeerTube is growing and the better way. If using YouTube to promote the #Fediverse helps, wonderful!
That is so predictable. It's like wining that a vegetarian wears leather shoes. You're German, right? Then you may appreciate the dutch germanism that was coined not too long ago for such non-argument: Hypocrisieschwalbe (DE: die Heucheleischwalbe)

It is a whole cultural story including national traumata why we use the German word for that.
