Yep, pretty typical for those times. Age of 12 was considered age of majority for girls back then (I'm not sure if this is good translation of Polish “wiek sprawny”, but seems equivalent). Next year she lead armed expedition to take Red Ruthenia back from Hungarians – and succeeded ;)
