I see a lot of similarities between the #AI hype and #GMO #seeds emergence.
1. Both are used to steal the #commons and #enclose them under the guise of "#IntellectualProperty". AI being more harmful (more developed), as they use also copyrighted material, breaking their own (declared) rules.
2. The use of both overreach their real usability, creating use cases harmful for the ecosystem.
3. They are firmly monopolised by corporations, becoming another tool of dominance and control.
4. Liberated and communalised, they could become a great field-leveling factor and contribute to our struggle against the worst effects of the global succession.
