W wyniku intensyfikacji z początkiem czerwca br. ataków ukraińskich dronów na żeglugę rosyjską na Morzu Azowskim i Morzu Czarnym oraz infrastrukturę portową w tym regionie eksport rosyjskich surowców tym szlakiem został mocno ograniczony. Uderzenia bezzałogowców wywołały straty przede wszystkim w sektorach rolnym i naftowym. W efekcie w sierpniu dostawy rosyjskiego zboża i ropy naftowej do odbiorców zagranicznych poprzez porty basenu azowsko-czarnomorskiego były o ponad połowę niższe niż przed rokiem.
