I am very familiar with the domain of vision because my eyes work reasonably well. The blind have missed out on that, but now they have a tool to describe an image —- to translate it into a domain they know. I am now wondering what other domains of experience are there where people are like the blind.
Can AI transform that information into something our senses can understand? It doesn’t have to be language. It could be sound, or touch, or something visual. The analogy I have in mind is with radio telescopes. This technology (many technologies) gives us the ability to see and understand the depths of the universe.

Hey, folks. I hate doing this, but my family and I need help with money for food & gas. This is unfortunately going to be a regular request until I can get a new job. (See my pinned posts for my resume.)
We average about $35/day for food (2 adults, 2 kids) and $10/day for gas, if we are being cheap. Dog food is $22/week. So we need around $335-$340 to make it through the week, making sure everyone is fed and gets to school. Any help, however small, is deeply appreciated.

Essentially it is just your preference, whichever device you feel more comfortable with.
Once you have your wallet securely set up, you can just publish its address for people to start sending a specific crypto you chose as your base.
Next step is to create a multicurrency donation link via trocador, where you put your wallet address as the receiving address, but people can send many different currencies, being exchanged on the fly.
For spending the money, the crypto card seems to be the easiest way.

Apparently my wifi hot spot is *not* the solution I'd hoped it would be, for not having to pay for internet. I have run out of usage and it has throttled back so hard that I can't even get to the internet speed test page. I was able to load the Google landing page after some time, at least.
This means that I can't apply for jobs, much less attend any sort of interview that requires a live coding session to prove my skills, until my hot spot usage renews. But I'm two months behind on my internet payments, so I owe $131.90 to get it turned back on.
I don't want to ask for this because it's not necessary to survive and I already am completely dependent on the community. At the same time, this is my ticket to being able to support myself instead of asking for handouts. So here I am. Can anybody help me out with this?

We are *almost* prepared for the ice storm that might have us locked in for a week. We still need dog food (~$25), cat food (~$22), my metformin (~$13, assuming I can even get it refilled in time), and a few odds and ends that we weren't able to get on our first grocery run (~$25).
So around $85 should cover everything that we need to prep. We have almost $30 of that right now, so we need ~$60 to make sure we can cover everything without cutting it down to the last cent.
I could use another boost, please. We only have a few hours before we are out of time.

My wife needs gas money to make it home with the kids after school before the storm hits. $5-$10 should cover it. Can anybody help us? They get out in about 4 hours, and she's stuck in town waiting because it's already on empty.
(If you want to be extra nice, the car is our backup for staying warm if the power goes out, so it would help to have a full tank.)

Unknown parent • • •I grew up with Trump - or rather, MANY Trumps. It was a New York suburb, the third-richest municipality in America, filled with top Fortune 500 executives and lawyers. Their children were unbelievably spoiled. Raised by nannies, they never heard the word "no".
The ones that weren't emotionally shattered were bullies. No one else was human, to them. The only thing that mattered to them was hurting the helpless. It's as if cruelty was all that gave them any feeling of reality.
I was a tall, shy, red-headed bookworm. They found me an irresistible target. I was tortured and beaten daily. I wanted to die.
That's why I've always hated the rich. I know what they are. I know how they think. And Trump is a classic example - but he's not the ONLY example.
The whole capitalist class must be destroyed. If not, they'll destroy the world. There is NO LIMIT to their greed. It's literally bottomless.
But they'll go insane when faced with a General Strike.

Unknown parent • • •I'm also familiar with mental health issues, being the daughter of a malignant narcissist. Of course, he wasn't diagnosed because he didn't see that there was anything wrong.
What I lived with is similar. The grandiosity. The need for power and control. The sadism. The "only I" pronouncements. Self-medication. Outbursts. His being the only anger allowed.
Confrontation with truth is the only way.

The confrontation with the truth is important for us, though.
